With overgrown foliage, and a light breeze that filled the room, The Cruz Building in Miami was transformed into a “hauntingly elegant” evening, as our amazing Miami wedding planning team, together with our talented friends at A Joy Wallace, created an incredible night under the stars. We brought life to a magical event straight out of the Prohibition Era, where words like “giggle water” were a must to gain access into this underground world of enchantment.
Welcome to the wedding celebration of grooms, Matt and Rod…
Approximately 275 guests walked into a scene out of the bayou to see swamp-like greens and purple hues, while being greeted by women suspended from aerial rings serving champagne; others with feathered fans, and ever-so realistic walking trees. As you made your way through the room, giant living vines emerged from the forest to pose with guests for pictures.
The culinary experience was the perfect fit, as one of our favorite caterers, Starr Catering Group, prepared an exceptional French menu to mesmerize the most sophisticated of pallets. Showcasing items like golden goose eggs with white truffle foam, topped with caviar, and dusted in 24kt gold leaf. Fresh Steak and Thon Tartare, with spectacular ice sculptured raw bars, and one of the most amazing modern day distilleries I have ever seen– trust me when I say, I am barely scratching the surface.
All this food extraordinaire brings me to the over the top golden wedding cake. The cake, confectioned by Divine Delicacies, stood at 10 feet high, weighing-in at over 700 lbs. of sugar covered golden goodness.
A Big thank you to photographer, Rajiv Sankarlall, for the wonderful pictures and Merge Social for the fantastic event day coverage. Click here and check out the trailer of this gorgeous night. Enjoy!
